Replacing the Default Launcher
The easy way
There are many alternate launchers (such as LauncherPro or Zeam) in the Market.
The Home Switcher/Home Switcher Froyo app can switch the launcher back and forth at invocation or permanently to the nookColor's stock launcher.
The ADB way
Once you have rooted your NC, installing an additional launcher is very easy.
- Download your favorite launcher's .apk file (LauncherPro/ADW)
- Run the following:
$ ./adb install <path to .apk.zip file for launcher>
- Press nook's home button
A dialog should pop up asking you which launcher you want to use. You can also specify to always use your particular launcher.
| Warning: It may be difficult to reset the default launcher to the stock Nook launcher without additional software as there are no Default Application settings under the stock Nook settings (Unlike most other Android devices.)
