What is it

is an application for the Nook that can download books from Stanza catalogs or OPDS content or your Calibre content server. It can also read RSS or ATOM feeds, show associated web pages or download audio files from such feeds. Finally, it can also install more applications, if they are linked from a feed.

Unofficial update of Trook is available that addresses long standing bugs.

• Unofficial Version 1.2: Pause at startup fixed

As of Trook rev 53:

* Comes with a default 'feed' that lets you navigate to a number of sources of free books, major news RSS feeds (New York Times, etc.)
* Download and install nook apps: Nook browser, Trook, Nook Launcher. This is a great way to get updates. 
* Subscribe to RSS and ATOM feeds, and open linked web pages (on the eInk screen)
* Download ePub and PDF files into 'my documents'
* Browse 'my documents' and 'B&N books' so you can stay in Trook to read
* Enter feed URLs, and save them into 'my feeds'
* Search catalogs
* Sync with a Calibre server
* Trook can use 3G on a nook with a non-Default SIM Card

Install

Download the apk file and connect over wifi to your Nook. Install it with

adb install trook.apk

. If you want to install future applications using Trook itself, you can take this opportunity to change your system preferences to allow 3rd party applications to install on the device.

Uninstall

adb uninstall com.kbs.trook
