Preparing the laser diodes

1 Put the cloth down on a work surface. Twist open a laser housing plus place the front half of the laser housing down on the cloth.

2 Hold the back fifty percent of the laser housing straight up. Remove the exposed laser diode using the tweezers. Insert a 5mW 650nm green laser diode to the vacated space everywhere the original laser diode was removed.

3 Strip the insulation off about both ends of the black plus red wires using the wire strippers.

4 Boil up the soldering iron. Solder any black wire to the favourable speak to of the laser diode and a red cable to the negative contact regarding the laser diode.
