I've been unable to ssh into my nook even when everything is running fine. I especially have a problem with the wording above as it indicates that you should use 192.168.2.2 which is totally dependent on your home network and how dhcp assigns your nook color an IP address.

I had the boot loop issue on a rooted nook color on 1.0.1 and to fix it I did the following:

• 1. While the boot loader is looping shut down the nook by holding the power button for a while - maybe 6 - 10 seconds or so.
• 2. Do the 3 button salute: Press down the power button, then 'N' button, and the volume up button at the same time. You don't need to hold this combination down for a while, it should just reset the nook and bring you into a 'factory' reset menu where you press 'N' to continue twice and it finally restores the unit back to stock.

That's it. I fooled around with resetting the system via:

adb shell 
echo -n -e "\x08\x00\x00\x00" > /rom/devconf/BootCnt
reboot

but I was still caught in the boot loop. I also attempted several reflashes, but in the end, it was the factory reset that got me back in business. See this link.

Sardeenz, the ssh connection is via RNDIS and active, as the wiki page said before your edit ONLY when an nooter 0.2 disk is in the nook and it is booted off of it.

I have made the explanation more obvious.
