  • Add parameter for nook to not activate touchscreen by default after returning from safe-mode, only after manual taping touch panel should be activated (that could save battery, if you want only to continue reading)
  • Save both power and time by not displaying intermediate pages when user presses PgDn or PgUp two or more times rapidly.
  • User preferences regarding speed & acceleration properties of touchscreen swipe gestures. (Default setting seems too sensitive; a slow swipe should scroll a smaller distance than a fast swipe.)
  • Rooting capability for new Nooks with serial #s starting with 1003
  • Bookmark/goto page # on apdfviewer

  • enable the Nook to zoom in and out of full page .pdfs. You can use the buttons and the touch screen (when unlit) to pan around, zoom in & out, the touchscreen being used like a trackball
  • enable zoom in either of 2 ways (or both!):
  • enable multitouch (it's a capacitive screen?) to be able to zoom in & out like on an iPhone
  • press opposite buttons at the same time( < > to zoom in, > < to zoom out)
  • enable the nook to rotate books and webpages to view things in widescreen
  • to be able to edit a pdfs properties
  • to be able to download files on the browser, unzip/rar, then open in reader
  • copy/paste text between apps
  • to be able to look words up in pdfs

Connectivity

  • Turn the nook into an Internet Access Point (IAP) so that other devices (netbook, laptop pc, etc.) can access the internet via the nook's free AT&T 3G internet service.
